11th May 2023
2-3pm
This webinar will give attendees an introduction to the Felt Sense Polyvagal Model, ™(FSPM) a paradigm shifting approach to the understanding and treatment of trauma and addiction. The model offers a depathologizing and embodied approach that appreciates addiction and other trauma responses as adaptive strategies that help us to survive. Polyvagal theory provides a sophisticated neurobiological explanation for the true nature of addictions as state regulation strategies that become problematic when more adaptive environments become available. The tools used in applying the model as well as a clinical example will be described.
